i think if it's an envelope and you wanna deliver it normal, it's 60 cents, but i'm not sure.

Unless it's more of a hassle than the link Glowbelly posted, just go to the post office and let them figure it out. They have a database with all the country codes and scale to figure it out in seconds. It's their job.

Or you could've just gone to the post office and asked them how much it would cost...

I don't know what the post offices are like where you guys live but my town of 60,000 people only has one and the line is always long and slow so it's a major pain in the ass. Plus Glowbelly is right. I'm pretty sure that most air mail letters to industrialized nations are 60 cents as well.

Yeah, why would I wanna spend $2 in gas and wait in line for half an hour when I was too cheap to just initially put an extra 37¢ onto the damn envelope?

Every country has a country code that assigns a rate based on weight, destination, method of conveyance, ect. Nobody said that you necessarily had to drive and wait in line to figure out the postage. If you have a general idea of the wieght (typical first class envelopes are about 10-16 oz) and the destination, you can call your post office to find out the postage.
