Well, you can now stream a bunch of stuff you couldn't before. I pretty much only use my cable to download stuff of suprnova, porn of kazaa and stream music whilst surfing.

BBC Digital radio. Some shows I like are Jonathan Ross and Mark Lamarr's Alternative sixties. There's plenty of stations and shows there, though, and you're sure to find something you like. They're all on-demand, so you can listen to every show that aired last thursday today if you want to.
Em. Downloading pc games demos I do often as well. Just, when I'm bored, I download a demo and play it for a while. Then I brutally delete it in a stormish display of digital potency.
Piolet is a good P2P network for MP3 files.
Also, you can now, if you want to, do that hardcore thing where you go on to an IRC room and totally never leave there. Then you come back, scour the logs for anything that has been said about you, and minimise it again for the next day. Very hardcore. Or was it lame. I forget the difference between them.
