Have it, played it, beat it, thoroughly enjoyed it. The story sucked, but the voice acting was actually halfway decent for some characters when compared to other japanese RPGs.

The combat system is awesome to no end. You still enter battle by actually walking up to the enemy and slashing it instead of them being random. The normal battles are also hard enough to the point where you aren't just hitting attack over and over again; you have to actually use skills and schedule your moves so they all hit at the right times. Plus, the aerial combos make things more interesting.

I just started playing Grandia 2 for the Dreamcast. Hopefully it's worth the 9.95 I payed for it on Ebay.

It doesn't have any secrets like the first Grandia did... and is basically an identical game with different textures and names.
