Betrayal at Krondor ranks, in my opinion, as one of the greatest RPGs of all time. Released in 1993, it gained high critical acclaim during its time, yet I rarely hear about it anymore. Is anyone else familiar with this game, or am I just old and out of touch?

I've only read the books it was based on. :/

I played it a lot after they made it freeware. It was awesome, and friggin' huge.

It's sequels sucked, though.

Yeah, I foolishly bought both Betrayal in Antara and Return to Krondor, and I was horribly disappointed in both of them. Antara especially. That game was one of the worst I've ever played, and certainly the absolute worst I've ever spent my hard earned money on.
