Turntable Problem

I have a Sanyo turntable, but it needs a needle. Will any needle work fine? And the thing to plug it into an outlet isn't there, it needs to be plugged into something that has the plug on it. Is it possible for it to be converted so it will directly go into an outlet? Thanks.

I think you are missing the original cord.

It's a wire that plugs into the cord. I think I can get it converted or get the attachment made for under 10 bucks. I got a needle for it already, and it fits fine.
