Apparently there's a cut of the film that is better.
Yeah, they (bob, david, the rest of the cast of Mr Show) pretty much think the movie sucks.
It does, compared to the show. If I saw it not knowing what Mr Show was or without ever seeing an episode of Mr Show I would think it was really good, probably. It seems like ever since the show ended they have been trying to make something that has mass appeal, like a dumbed-down version of their TV show. They have good intentions, trying to get their sensibility out there and trying to get everybody else into what they are about, but for the people who are their fans and allready get it its just kind of... for lack of a better word, annoying.
The movie does have some really great moments though. They should cut it down to 27 minutes and release it as a "very special Mr Show episode" or something.
