Worst Game Ending

Sometimes, you play and play a game and it ends in the stupidest way possible.

What was your most disappointing game ending?

I'm sure a few people are going to say WC3 and its Expansion.

Half-Life.

Half-Life rocked so hard untill it went to Xen, and then after all that crap the ending sucked so bad...they just set everything for Half-Life 2 then made us all wait 4 years for them to make it. I DETEST! Atleat untill Half-life 2 makes it to my lovely screen, then I will be happy again...

On a side note...it seems then ending for any Platforming game is rather anti-climaxil...but mabey thats just the way the genre is...

Yeah, Half-life's ending was a total disappointment. Opposing Force was a little crap too (but also highly sinister!), and at least Blue shift had a happy (if not stupidly premature) ending.

But for the worst ending ever, you have to back to 1988 (or was it earlier?) to a game called "Eye of the Beholder"
An early RPG game which had you wansering around dungeons for hours, and hours, and hours. And what was the ending?

It exited to DOS and said "Well Done"

Idk if im the only one, but i was kinda dissapointed in the FF7 ending. it was such a long game and it ended so abruptly, maybe its just me but i thought they couldve atleast shown us if the planet was destroyed

DOOM's ending kinda sucked, especially the first episode. Your character ends up teleporting into a room full of monsters, and you end up dying, I think. :/

for ff7, they do show you what happens to the planet, you just have to wait through the credits, you lack patience

Enter The Matrix' ending was crap. It gave me the opportunity to view the Matrix:Revolutions trailer whenever I wanted, but bleh, you can just download it.

Dark Earth's ending was crap, I don't know if anyone here played that game. Everybody's dead, but hey, you saved the world.

Entomorph: Plague of the Darkfall, which was a crappy game too, had a horrible ending. Everybody you know, including your family, is dead, the island you set out to save is destroyed, and with all your enemies destroyed, the ending consists of a picture of your character in a little rowboat.

Rampage for the NES. Had to beat it with a Game Genie. My reward? Congratulations! Of course, my brain was too numb at that point to care.

goldeneye, polygon snogging etc. the rest of the game was pure gold.

Contra had a lame ending. In SSB:M, if you get all of the trophies, they don't give you shit either.

I remember playing GTA2 for like a month and when i wnet into that last train terminal I was hoping for those little cute 2d person thinks but all I got was some shitty splash screen and a congratulations!?!?!?!?!?!


I could have had secks with my gandmother busted a fat nut in her hair and it would have been 10x better than the ending on GTA2

Thought that was bad? Doom II's ending had you beat up a head on a stick and you get a stupid presentation of the death animations of every enemy and your character.

No, that was the ending of the final episode of DOOM. That is, if you don't have the Ultimate DOOM. If you have that (like I do) then there's another episode, and I've never finished it so I don't know the ending. :/
