IMO, wouldn't the Pilsbury Doughboy be a shape-shifting monster? After all, he IS made out of dough, and dough can easily have a changed shape. So, he could probably turn into a tentacle monster and rape schoolgirls in the shady allies of Japan. Perhaps, there was a soul brave enough to sacrifice his life against the evil dough demon, and plant a device inside him that makes him dostile and not able to transform, but for this to happen, they have to push a button every often like a recharge. Therefore, I have solved the reason they poke the Doughboy in the commercials. Thank you.
