Just to add a bigger picture to these rumors for context sake....
It's widely known that Syria also harbors a few Nazi war criminals.
It's more then a rumor that they were building a reactor plant in a joint project with N. Korea, and Iraqie scientists that mysteriously exploded, ending the project, last year sometime.
