Why are people getting offended by this?

The reason people are getting upset about the special is it is based on the DiVinci Code, a book that is about as historically accurate as "War Of The Worlds". It claims that Jesus had a wife and child, that His Divinity was fake and made up by Constantine, and that there is this secret order that knew about it, and DiVinci kept it alive by putting certain pictures and words in his paintings and plans.

As you can see this may piss off the vast majority of Christians just a bit.
