Bjorks Stalker

I was watching Dateline last night and Diane Saywer did a story on this guy that stalked Bjork the pop singer. A young fat man of 22 sends package to Bjork that was stopped a day before she would have recieved it ended up disfiguring her. He video taped himself explaining his life and his infatuation for her and showed making his package to her and himself playing with a gun that finally he did himself in after shaving his head and painting his face like Brando in Apocolypse Now. I didn't get the feeling that this guy was mental or derranged. So much time and effort this guy put into his plan it was almost like a media event for a future book or movie. I just wanted to see if anyone would agree with me or not.
