Old Feb 1st, 2004, 12:05 PM        My Wife's Theory
My wife summed up something I've been trying to formulate for a while better than I could, so I wanted to share it with you. It has to do with the team sport nature of voters. It's seemed to both of us that W. has veered violently away from some pretty bedrock republican principals (not toward Deomcratic ones mind you, just away from republican into pure aquisition of power) and we wondered why more people don't seem to notice.

Here's my wife's formulation.

"People would vote for a dog with a talking parrot shoved up it's ass if it said the right things, regardless of what it did."

She then went on to say:

"Wwwraaawk! Universal Healthcare is bad! Universal Healthcare is bad! Wwraaawk! No gay Marriage! No gay Marriage! "

Is it too late to get a dog with a talking parrot shoved up it's ass on the ballot?
