Both lists are based on irony. I guess they're supposed to make you think like a Jack Handey "Deep Thought", only they're not that deep. If you were to transpose them into straight foward statements, it's pretty much the same crap you here them flinging at each other over the airwaves daily and, to be honest, it's getting rather old and trite.
