I went to a complementary free showing for members of the Aerospace Eduction Center tonight. They were showing some shit called "Adventures in Coral" (okey dokey). The thing that caught my eye was the condition of the center's members. Everyone (excluding myself of course) was either morbidly obese or one foot in the grave, and some took a little of column A and a little of column B. There was no middle man (except the fat ones'children who were probably just cattle).
Why has the Imax center become a haven for the stereotypical American and his father? I can understand that the circulated air is a prime target for the tubby ones but why do they bring their fathers? And the old people who aren't forced to go there actually believe that the events in "1984" happened.
But I went for the free food.
