Okay, this delayed nomination crap has got to stop, although by now the damage is probably done.

I totally understand every reason he wants to do it. The Republicans have totally sleazed as late a conbvention as possible, both for the symbollic exploitation of NYC and 9/11 and for the financial edge it gives a candidate who as an Incumbent with all the perks and air time that implies is still going to spend the MOST MONEY EVER breaking his own record...

But come on, John. What bigger propoganda victory could you possibly hand the Republicans than having a convention that isn't a nomination? It doesn't matter that this is all meaningless and everybody already knows your the nominee. It's all about perception, not to mention the fact that it's closing down my city for a week for a political rally. You will be flogged with this from here on in, and it may already be too late because like a maroon, you publicly concidered it. Is ANYONE advising this guy? Are they Republicans?
