I hope that by admiting this, these people will all find new people to inhabit and that mice will never again form patterns on the wall. Growing up in a lighthouse can play "tricks" on the mind but not if you catch then. I prefer to count every blade of grass on the island, and then at night, cut the grass and start over. Sometimes I wonder that if I got a cool hat people would come out to see the light house, but instead they send workers from "the state" and tell me I must use less money to keep things going. Christ I wish I had a pet.
