If we aren't talking about wholesale exportation, then what exactly are we debating? You can't purchase knock-off perscription drugs in this country, at least not legally. Those are the drugs which cost the most, not Advil and cherry Pepto.
Many of Canada's drugs are made in America.
You're damn right we have a bone to pick with patents. If the chemical makeup is the same, well, it's the exact same thing. Do you really want to reduce the incentive to develop drugs back to zero?
I'm not saying that market competition is bad, but I am saying that reimportation is worthless. Quite frankly, that is the biggest issue here.
