This has confused me for awhile as everybody seems to have a different opinion.

What's the right time to get into another relationship after a break up? What qualifies it as a rebound?

I ask because I broke up with my gf a week ago and yesterday I hooked up with another girl and i'm going out with her now. Most people are ok with it but one of my best friends called me sleazy and my ex-girlfriend and her friends are all "that's so fucked up."

For me, it's not a big deal. The relationship I just got out of wasn't good for me, and i'd rather break up then keep going on with it and making her feel more involved. It's for her benefit, as now we both don't feel as heartbroken or anything about it.

Now this new girl I definetly like, but is it not right to like someone else so soon, and when is it ok to ask her out without being seen as insensitive or such. :/
