Maybe my socratic questioning doesn't make it clear, but I'm really angry at the idea that only Jeff's Lesser Races are burdened by the horror of ethnicity.

No, race does not automatically indicate ethnic background. It just seems to be that recently, in the past month, the only famous people who died were from ethnic background. I could die and fit into the distinction of fitting into that because I am Half German and Half Jewish. I am not trying to offend or anger, it is just an observation.
