Step back and think for a second - What are the odds that jixby is so completely unfamiliar with these boards or the internet in general that you can help him out in his posting career?

If someone isn't 'getting it' on these boards, there are two possible reasons:

1. They're being intentionally ironic.
2. They're stupid and/or new.

Stupid people don't stay here for very long because we aren't nice to them. New people aren't here for long by definition. Ergo, therefore, consequentially, if a regular is missing some golden nugget of truth that you believe you can provide, chances are it's a joke.

We like jokes here. The quicker you learn to get jokes, the better you can fit in with us, the joke-likers.
