I bought the goddamned game, but the signup site for the online accounts is down, so i can only play single player

Sega fucking shafts the shit out of you on the PSO/PSU series. All i got in the box was a monochrome manual and the dvd in a paper sleeve. I'm kind of pissed at the lack of fan appreciation, but at the same time, i know the game is going to be so fucking good that it won't matter once i start playing online.
