I suppose I'm what you'd call 'new,' but I've never really seen you around before, nor have I read many of your posts. But it looks like you're intelligent, and being around for 8 years is pretty rad. The longest I've stayed at a forum is four years; at that point, the stampede of new jackasses overwhelmed me and I booked it out of there. In the end, it's up to you; this has been a place for you to be at for eight years (that's half of my life!) and it's your decision whether or not you think it's worth staying or if you should just move on.

I've found that when I leave a forum I've been a part of for awhile, I start to miss it and want to go back. So if you're not sure what to do, maybe you just need a break from it so you can come back and feel like you're getting more of a fresh start? And if you like being away from it, just make it a permanent vacation.

If you want my opinion, I think you should stay. You seem cool, and it'd suck for someone cool to leave before I could chat with them.
