Old Jun 16th, 2007, 12:56 PM        NES cleaning with rubbing alcohol
I've been wanting to join I-mockery for awhile now and now is as good a time as any because I have an actually problem that only the genuises here on the I-mockery forum can help me with. Anyway, I read recently on "Nintendo: The good, the bad, and the ugly" that gently dabbing the chip part of an NES game with a q-tip soaked in rubbing alcohol and then presumedly leaving it out to dry would make it work. However if you look on the back of an NES game you see this:
CAUTION
DO NOT STORE IN EXTREME TEMPERATURES.
DO NOT IMMERSE IN WATER.
DO NOT CLEAN WITH BENZENE, THINNER, ALCOHOL OR OTHER SUCH SOLVENTS.

As you can see, I'm torn between two sides. -ROG- and the back of the NES cartridge. What should I do?
