What got me in Silent Hill 2 was

When I got to the roof of the hospital, and wandered over to the little building--the mechanical room or whatever--and from behind me I heard the door open... I didn't know what the hell had just come out of there, but I knew it wasn't any good AND I was trapped against the wall. |
