Ahh cool. I heard that it becomes an issue with MIDI/audio sync because IRQs are shared. But if you can disable it (in BIOS I'm guessing?) that's decent. I hope it doesn't interfere with anything else performance-wise though. My concern is that the OS was designed for it, so disabling it will make the system suffer in other ways... but either way I guess it can't be worse than '98.

Good idea, I might try that. What about FAT32 vs. NTFS? Is that even an issue anymore?
