A Denis Leary movie I love: Many people will groan when I say The Ref. I love this movie, perhaps because it reminds me of my childhood. The cast plays the comedic dysfunction of Christmas with the Therapist to perfection. Leary is not lost in the movie, which is tough considering he's acting alongside some of the best in the business.
A Denis Leary movie I like: Demolition Man. Yes, it's basically a Stallone vehicle, but there are some understated performances by Leary, Bullock, Bratt and Hawthorne. And the comedic elements (how are you supposed to use those
3 Seashells??) are terrific.
A Denis Leary movie I hate: Any sequel to Ice Age. Enough already!
Honorable Mention: Rescue Me. Worth a look.
