Stupid argument between Pub and I

Okay Pub says the rain and snow in his region is salty.
I asked how come? He says it's because he lives in a costal region. Then i said, bullshit, when water evapourates it leave behind all the salt particles it disolved. Then he claims that a small amount of the salt goes with the vapour into the clouds too. Then I explain it's impossible because salt's boiling point is too high, for it to go up to the clouds, then he says that vapour can dissolve solids too. But that's impossible.

Can anybody say a few good words for me to convince my misguided buddy?
