Better sharks? Depends on what you mean by better. We only get 2 species and they don't attack people as far as I know so I guess they're better in that respect but worse if we are talking about scaring the shit outta people.
Actually here's a bit of advice on what to do when swimming in shark infested waters:
Before entering water saw or chop off one leg then if a shark attacks you you can bash it with the leg you sawed off!
