I apologize, I don't know anything about the gothic world, having lived around goths for seven more years than you've existed and having been one myself as a teenager. I bow to your superior knowledge as arbiter of that which is goth. Oh woe, if only they hadn't cast me out for failing to perform the ritual act of hanging by my testicles in service to the Dark Lord! If only I had more ardently slashed my forearms with a razor blade in the bathroom and filled my school notebooks with more hellish inscriptions, I would now still be a member of that unholy alliance!

This is Satanism, not to be confused with devil worship. Very few goths are satanists, and even fewer over the age of 15 are devil worshipers. At least I think so - I really don't know anything about goths, remember.
