i hug cops. they're nice to me. the horsey cops are the best. abe and commander rule. officer harrison called the hit and run department for me and sped up the process to get my case pushed through. he also made a point to go visit a lady in the hospital that he pulled over for erratic driving, just to find out that she was having a diabetic seizure while driving. he was concerned that she didn't have any family. he took her flowers and talked to the doctors. he also received a kind letter from a citizen who he helped on the freeway one morning when her tire blew out. officer larry protects me from stray drunks looking for someone to harass while i'm working the beer tub outside on fridays during baseball season.

of course, you have to take the good with the bad, but if you took some time to actually get to know your local police officers, i bet you'd be pleasantly surprised and realize just how well protected you really are.
