Sorry I just can't the celebration over this joyous news into my schedule. I'm a little tied up celebrating the OMB's rejection of the proposed annual targeted pay increase for military members to bring military salaries online with comparable civilian sector jobs.

It seems that in the eyes of the fine folks handling the budget, military pay should not be equated with civilian jobs on the outside, but rather retention rates on the inside. When retention is bad, we'll pay you a little more to convince you to make great personal sacrifices. But when retention is good, we'll pay you like immigrant laborers because most of you won't be able to do anything about it anyway.

HOORAY!
