Not likely. The electorate now has until November to forget all about this (and really, it would seem that people who were only really following it cared anyway).

If you're a Democrat, you were hoping for a Right-wing candidate like Toomey. It would have polarized the electorate, brought out the conservative base, and likewise would've brought out the concerned Liberals and centrists who view Toomey as too conservative. The Democrats were looking at the Senate, that's why Bush endorsed Specter instead. I'm sure Bush would prefer to have a guy like Toomey on the ballot, but not at the risk of losing the Senate. Colorado is already giving him indigestion, he doesn't need Pennsylvania now, too.
