You actually are looking right through Photoshop, if you press play afterwards you'll see the video playing through the screen capture. There's something about video that's treated differently than other screen elements, but this is different from player to player, Windows edition to Windows edition and codec to codec. If you update you media player and get a codec pack, it could clear things up. I remember I also was able to printscreen with Radplayer, but that one is bundled with SAVE! (that damn program which has no other function than giving you loads and loads of pop-ups) in these days, and won't work if you uninstall the damn leech. Lowering the refresh rate in RealPlayer also works, but now that I don't need RP to play Realmedia, I'm never installing that piece of shit again.

If you're able to get your hands on Adobe Premiere (preferably the Pro Edition, as it doesn't crash the second you look away), that would be your best shot. Or something similar. Now that i think about it, you probably can export frames in Microsoft Movie Maker or whatever that thing is called. Isn't that included in most versions of Windows?
