That's horsepuckey, Nalds, unless you equate slavish devotion to the current administration as love of country. When Clinton was in office, I bet you hated a lot of his foreign and domestic policy. Did that mean you hated the USA. No sir.
You and I both concider ourselves patriots. I loathe your view of America, but that doesn't mean I think you hate it. That's why you are what's called a reactionary, and I am not.
You confuse patriotism and nationalsim. Most people experience nationalism to one degree or another. The Japanese during WWII had us beat cold as far as that goes. Almost everybody thinks their number one. History isn't a foolproof guide, but 'not caring' about it is just embracing ignorance. We all live in a snapshot of geo political time. Thinking you just happened to stumble into the closest thing to perfection history has to offer, a moment when we the United States are just so darn right it's amazing and that we'll have nothing to learn from the passage of time or the viewpoints of other people is putting your fingers in your ears and singing.
