But for fuck's sake, man, what on earth did you tell her to hurt her? I mean, if you'd just said "I don't particularly believe in love" or something like that, she might have taken it upon herself to challenge your beliefs. I can't imagine a simple statement like THAT would hurt her, so I'm guessing you must have gone out of your way. What did you say?
