No. We're a bunch of poor folks, without the luxury of a garage, so the cats huddle in/under the car sometimes because the car is still warm. This car hadn't gone anywhere for about 3 hours, so it was cold. Really, I think the cats are just so curious and like to get anywhere they can.
See, they didn't need to go there to get warm, because we had built this pimped out little cat-flat as part of a BoyScout service project thing. The other part to the project was to trap, neuter, and release the cats. They make this little colony thing and share the food. A feline harem.
The first cat to get ground up was a mere kitten, so it wasn't yet a big part of the group, and this second cat was a complete stranger, so it was huddling there because the others were occupying the house thing. They aren't strays, per se, they're all very friendly. Pop and Crackle (the original two kittens that we started the TNR thing with) are almost house-worthy. Snap (their sister, get it 'Snap Crackle Pop', shut up
we couldn't think of anything) was the first to die.
The place where they died was actually
in the engine. The first cat was in front, and got trapped under the main belt and got it's back
snapped (poetic
). In the process it fucked up the car, and cost us about $45. The second cat was sitting on top I guess, and got into the pistons or something. I'm not too savvy with engines. All I know was there was blood splattered
everywhere. And limbs.
