Seriously, it just felt like the same crap over and over again. I couldn't play anymore past the lava-ish stage. I watched a friend beat it, though, and the ending was a huge gyp. And the multiplayer was kind of tacked on, but felt like it had more SOUL. Like 'here's the game we really wanted to make, but we had to spend 90% of our development time on a Mario 64 copycat because otherwise no-one will distribute this.'
Overall, I think Mario 64 was a way better game in the same genre (and shut up, it's more than a fair comparison) because of its not-entirely-linear gameplay. And it controlled better. And it was fun. :<
