I experienced my first downsizing termination before I was even 25, so I think I'm entitled to be a bit skeptical about compay loyalty.

My current job has a lot of security, in that I don't think I would be fired for anything short of gross negligence on my part or the copmany going bankrupt. I'm very loyal to this job, but then I'm working for a family business.
