I think you miss the point here, Kev. I'm sure he was being sarcastic, and of course everyone writes stuff like that during a bad week, but we're not talking about a bad week or an avaerage person. We're talking about the head of FEMA during an unprecedented emergency. I appauled that it would have crossed his mind to write even a single, chatty, personal sentence. Imagine for moment your house is on fire and as you stand and watch one of the firemen takes a moment out to blackberry the wife about how stressful putting out the fire is, or a Doctor taking a few moments out of your quadrupple bypass to ask his scrub nurses advice on the outfiyt he'll wear when he tells your fmily how you're doing.
Coupled with the emails responces that show he either didn't read the emails he's responding to, or that he has a level of reading comprehension that might mean he is clincially retarded, it paints a picture of a shocking lack of understanding of what the job he holds is. He is not head of the PTA during a bake sale, he' the head of FEMA during a major disaster. Couple that with his outrageous, self righteous defense instead of abject apology and you have a man who's appointment to a position of power where lives are at stake tyo the level of a crime. I'm not all that interested in being fair to him. I'm interested in knowing how many more like him hold lives in their hands and getting them out of those jobs before people die because of them.
