I was just reading an article by Stanley Fish about how the seperation of church and state is incoherent becasue liberal rationalism is as foundationless as any religion.
Personally, I think if liberal rationalism is as foundationless as religion, that is, if human reason is not an independent foundation for thought and action, then the seperation of church and state is the last thing I'll be worried about
