He seems, for some unknowable reason, to think Max used a computer program to make the text look like it was really on little strips of paper, as opposed to taking a picture of a cut up print-out, which would be so much easier.
So much so, that I bet Max is feeling real stupid for spending all that time painting in those very realistic shadows. Idiot.
