I was more intrigued by the way this man viewed reality. He was the cold war as World War 3, whether it was or not is moot. He was assistant Director of the CIA, so obviously he's not a stupid man, and he filled that post at the height of the Cold War's temination. Does that mean all of our other cold warriors in office see things similarly? Negroponte, Poindexter, Cheney et al? The speculation is fascinating, or at least I think so, certainly sheds an interesting light on the "us or them" statements we're heard.
Of course, him believing this war on terror is far from over, backing up my instinct on this issue, also had something to do with me posting this as well.
