Fuck...this really seems like something worth going for but I'm terrible with making comic strips and that kinda shit.
Give it a shot, the sprites are even provided for you. It's a simple cut 'n paste job. There's no excuse not to enter any of the contests I run when you consider how easy it is to enter pretty much all of 'em and the prizes that are up for grabs. :o
