Specter rebukes Cheney over NSA spying

I like Specter and I always have, but it's way past time for his patience to be growing thin. A rebuke is better than nothing, but Republicans of good concience (and I don't just mean moderates or other folks who might agree with me from time to time, I mean a lot of these guys) know this administration is totally out of control and doing very real damage to our system of government, and that they treat the constitution with contempt. When it became clear Nixon was hurting the country, congress did it's duty, including the Republicans.

Clinton got impeached over a single charge of perjury, which he was guilty of, and ridiculous or not, he deserved it. This congress won't even allow investigation where they know there has been massive wrongdoing. History is going to judge these guys very harshly, and it may judge those who's patience grew thinner and thinner without ever breaking the most harshly of all, because it was clear they knew better.
