I do a lot of work in Delaware, in the school districts specifically.

That section of Delaware is, well, White and Christian. I guess my question would be why the hell did it take so damn long for that family to complain?

Most of the school districts in Delaware are pretty homogenized. This is intentional. Most of the state is in the process of building mega-schools out in the middle of nowhere, so that students can be bussed or driven in from surrounding towns and cities. This makes most of the schools pretty low "at-risk", thus ineligible for federal support.

So basically, outside of perhaps Wilmington, Newark, and maybe New Castle, the state is WASP central. It doesn't make what happened right or anything, but I'm just surprised that this comes as such a surprise to this family (my guess is the school system is pretty good). I mean, I have Jewish friends who went to Catholic school for crying out loud.

But THIS was hysterical:

" also pray for one specific student, that You be with her and guide her in the path that You have for her. And we ask all these things in Jesus' name."
