Bokken are pretty cheap down here, and i was thinking about getting one before i got a decent blade, so i can learn some sword practice instead of just swinging the damn things around, and a weapon that can snap a leg bone in half or kill a duelist doesn't sound like a bad wood-to-metal tradeoff to me.
