I tried so very hard to get into ambient since I thought it would help me study, but for some fucking reason I find it harder to concentrate with it on. And, on it's own, it's not interesting enough to lay there and listen to.

But you should definitely look into Brian Eno, the father of Ambient music. I've heard A Plataux Of Mirror and it's simply breathtaking at times.
