best bass is a guitar with a octaver into a bass amp
i'd post some licks but i dont have any way to record onto my computer :/
my 4-string mexican jazz (which was under 400 and VERY VERY GOOD btw) is like missing 2 tuners, 2 saddles & the nut is cracked :/ but if I replaced all that shit it'd sound better than an american I think :o oh and the pickups too but they arn't broken but replacing them would have a big effect on the overall tone :0
my sg into the octaver sounds nuts though :0 VERY fat!
