It's not often that we get the chance to try leaders for genocide, a charge which, as legal precedent stands, allows a disturbing amount of consideration for arguments of "sovereign immunity." (please refer to the trial of Slobodan Milosevic) As such, it is pretty damn important that courts not dilute rulings with trials in absentia.
