Was definitely NOT bugs because there were no bugs in that room. I'm not even sure it was phantom rats because I remember going into sense mode and not seeing anything. It was weird cause whenever I went into a certain part of quicksand I got that slowdown even out of it.

The phantom rats jump off of you after a moment. Maybe you were just slow on the draw ;<
